Details / The Minorite Church
The Minorite Church (Minoritenkirche), a charming Roccoco style building, was in 1758 by Johann Kremer. It has a massive high altar and three altars of red marble on each side, with paintings by M. J. Schmidt. A painting on the high altar was done by Bartholomew Alimente. It's called the Annunciation.
The present church was part of a monastery founded in 1236. It has a singlenaved structure including a beautiful stucco work in white, yellow and pink by Kaspar Modler and a painting on the high alter by Bartolomeo Altomonte. The Minorite Church is a great example of Rococo style architecture.
