Musee de la Mer, in France, located on Sainte-Marguerite island 's Port-Royal, is devoted to the treasures of the sea. It is a museum of marine archaeology, on the island of Sainte-Marguerite, and was once the state prison. There are remnants of ships dating back to Roman times and other treasures of the sea.
The Museum of the Sea is one of the popular Maritime Museums in France which is one of the popular France Tourist Attractions which is regularly visited by tourists from all over the world.

The Museum of the Sea remains on all days of a year except the second week of January. It remains open for public viewing in the month of October to March from 10:30am to 1:15 pm and from 2:15pm to 4:45 pm. in the period between April to September. The Museum of the Sea in France remains open till 5:45pm for public viewing.
