Musee de la Mer, in France, located on Sainte-Marguerite island 's Port-Royal, is devoted to the treasures of the sea. It is a museum of marine archaeology, on the island of Sainte-Marguerite, and was once the state prison. There are remnants of ships dating back to Roman times and other treasures of the sea.

It remains open for public viewing in the month of October to March from 10:30am to 1:15 pm and from 2:15pm to 4:45 pm. in the period between April to September.
