Located on the west of Frankfurt the Grüneburgpark, the Green Castle Park, is a nice place to hide from the big busy city Frankfurt. The area of the current park was bought by the banker Peter Heinrich von Bethmann Metzler and he designed the park. In 1837 the park was sold to the Rothschild family, who converted the park until 1877 into a english-style park. Under the control of the Nazis the area was transferred to the municipality. Now the park occupies an area of 29 hectares.

The park is an excellent place for walkers, runners etc. You can also ride your bicycle or skate. There is also a cafe in the park. After the busy city life in Frankfurt you can refresh yourself here in a peaceful green area. After a long tiring day I would suggest you to go to Grüneburgpark and relax and refresh yourself.
