Alberta's splendour and magnificence are apparent from the instant of arrival. Rising and falling foothills, threatening mountains and ancient hoodoos are a few of Alberta's more diverse natural landmarks.
Most remarkable are Alberta's Rocky Mountains, which facilitate the world well-known resort towns of Banff, Kananaskis, Waterton, Canmore, Jasper, and Lake Louise. Dinosaur hunters gather to Drumheller, home of the highly praised Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, where the desert landscape yields innumerable fossils and ancient discoveries.
Alberta's countryside heritage can be further explored with a trip to the enormous farmlands of Alberta's Heartland, Northern Alberta and Southern Alberta. Calgary, home of the worldwide known Calgary Stampede, is best known for its warm kindness, oil and gas industry and closeness to the Rockies.
Edmonton, the provincial capital, is often tantamount with its biggest attraction - West Edmonton Mall. North America's biggest shopping and entertainment compound provides over 800 stores and services and over 110 dining establishments, the essence of one-stop shopping.
