Details / Labrador Frontier Circuit
The Labrador Frontier Circuit starts in Baie-Comeau and heads out of town on Quebec Highway 389, charitably described by initiates as partially paved. For the next 360 miles to the Labrador border it basses through wild, rugged, beautiful countryside dominated by deep rivers valleys, boreal forests of black spruce, and clear lakes.
About 10 miles after crossing the Labrador border, you will come to the towns of Labrador City and then Wabush, the self-styled heart of industrial Labrador. Labrador City boasts more than 300 miles of groomed snowmobile trails that weave through birch covered valleys, giving winter visitors an outside chance of spotting members of the George River caribou herd.
