Details / Blomidon Provincial Park
Sickle-shaped Blomidon Peninsula, culminating in Cape Split, separates the Minas Basin from the Bay of Fundy. With sea cliffs soaring to heights of 500-600 feet, it is known far and wide for its spectacular ocean views. That is where Blomidon Provincial Park enters the scene: it is a coil of interconnected hiking trails designed to carry you to those view.
The best hike is the 3.7-mile Joudrey Trail circuit, which winds through a forest of beech and maple while skirting the cliffs of the Minas Basin. Almost as scenic is the mile-long Lookoff Trail, which affords views 15 miles across the bay to the headlands of Five Islands Provincial Park.
