Details / Fathom Five National Marine Park
![]() |
The Tobermony Islands and the Georgian Bay waters surrounding them make up this marine park. The islands form a chain that is really an extension of the Niagara Escarpment.
Though geologically similar to the Bruce Peninsula, the islands differ in significant ways from the mainland. Distance from the mainland and from other islands has dictated each island’s particular mi of plants and animals. Flowerpot Island is the most photographed of the chain and the most popular. Located farther from the mainland, it is home to fewer species.
Wrecks are not the only attraction for divers. They can also investigate a shoreline pocked with grottoes and caves, which make for exceptional diving.
