Details / Les Sentiers de I Estrie
Striking out from Montreal and heading south across the St. Lawrence River, you will discover Quebec’s Eastern Townships, a bucolic agglomeration of peaceful valleys, prosperous farms, vacation homes of varying extravagance, lakes, forests, scenic small towns – and the rugged spine of the Appalachians, thrusting north-eastward from Vermont.
Most visitors to the area spend a week or more and take time to explore a few of the villages and resorts in the valleys. There are a number of places to stay, ranging from elegant inns to rudimentary campgrounds.
Winding through the scenic Bolton Pass, the glen Section covers 8.1 miles between the Mont Glen ski area and Baker Talc Road. You will find several long vistas along the way, with Montreal dimly visible from one of them and the Green Mountains of Vermont from several others.
