Details / Bob Lo Island
This enormous amusement park, situated on a former Indian encampment, is bound to delight your children. It is set in the middle of a lovely 122 hectare island in the Detroit River and is accessible only by boat. A midway, with over 50 rides and attractions, a dolphin show, song and dance concerts, a carousel, “dodge’em” cars and many other treats are in store for the visitor. Part of the fun is getting there. The Bob-Lo Cruiser leaves the dock just south of town every 15 minutes.
Since one-third of the island is parkland, you will find plenty of green spaces to relax in when the midway starts to pale. You can picnic here – there are tables and barbecue grills. Bob-Lo is open from the end of May through August.
