Details / Los Cabos
Dramatic desert scenery, beautiful beaches, and plenty of action draw visitors to the tip of Baja’s narrow peninsula, where the Gulf of California’s turquoise waters meet the Pacific Ocean. The deep sea fishing is world renowned.
By the 1960s, a handful of comfortable, seaside hotels had sprung up among the organ cacti and spindly ocotillos. Several decades and many millions of investment dollars later Cabo San Lucas has grown up, although not necessarily matured: at night spots, the mainly American crowd tends to down lots of tequila shooters and dance on the bar. Warm weather, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent sports facilities lure all types of travelers to the tip of one of the world’s longest peninsulas.
