Details / Amador Causeway
With gorgeous views toward Panama City on one side and the Bridge of the Americas and busy canal channel on the other, the breakwater known as Calzada de Amador is one of the city’s most appealing recreational areas. In recent years, the causeway has become a trendy venue for hip youth and, following major investment, a hub of international visitors.
The palm-lined causeway is fringed by a recreational path popular with lovers, joggers, bicyclists, and city-dwellers walking their dogs. Walking the calzada is especially pleasurable at dawn and dusk. While beloved of locals, the tempting sands of Isla Naos cannot be recommended due to health hazards washing in off the bay.
