Details / Hollywood Bowl
Since its inaugural season in 1922, the world-famous Hollywood Bowl has been an ongoing source of pride for Angelenos. The natural amphitheatre, situated north of Hollywood Boulevard and cradled below the Hollywood Hills, provides a lush and magical outdoor setting in which to enjoy the world’s greatest talents performing under the summer skies.
The bowl’s season traditionally runs form July through mid-September, and it has been the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra since its inauguration. Evening concerts feature styles that range from classical and jazz to rock and pop.
Traditionally, Angelenos show up early to picnic on the grounds surrounding the bowl, then take their seats before the performance. More than 17,000 seats encompass everything from subscriber-only boxes, to high-in-the-sky wooden benches, all with excellent views.
