Details / The Golden Triangle
Many of Beverly Hill’s most sought-out attractions sit within a 20-block section tagged the Golden Triangle by the city’s visitors bureau. This three-sided district – bounded by Wilshire Boulevard to the south, and by Santa Monica Boulevard and Rexford Drive to he west and east – harbours a conglomeration of exquisite historical architecture, numerous revered cosmetic surgeons and celebrity hairstylists, the ritziest retailers in the world, high-priced restaurants with attitude-espousing waitpersons, and office buildings occupied by such Beverly Hills mainstays as agents and shrinks.
Each year some 12 million visitors square off in the Triangle, mesmerized by the trappings of wealth and power. The well-heeled leave with designer shopping bags and signature hairstyles, while those on a budget window-shop and wait for famous faces to pop by. Whichever way you slice it, the Golden Triangle shapes up like a wedge of the richest-tasting pie on Earth.
