Details / Kula Botanical Gardens
Kula Botanical Gardens is located right beside a Christmas-tree nursery and is a peasant place for a stroll. The small garden is shady and peaceful, with a small stream running through it.
It overlooks the central isthmus and the sea, and although it may not have as many flowers as some of the other parks on the island, it has some exquisite species, such as two dracaena form the Canary Islands, which are located near the entrance.
Waipoli Road climbs up through pastures to reach Polipoli State Park. This small road is very windy and passes a launching area for hangliders before entering the Kula Forest Reserve, the remains of an ancient forest of indigenous trees that once grew all the way down to the shores of La Perouse Bay.
