Details / The Contemporary Museum
The museum holds a small collection of modern art from the 1940s up to today, including a portrait by David Hockney inspired by Maurice Ravel’s composition entitled “the Child and the Magic Spell”.
There are also some temporary exhibits that display some of the museum’s inventory. However, most of the works announced in the brochures were not all on display at the time due to a lack of space. The most impressive exhibit has to be the great tropical garden, which is adorned with sculptures. The embankment offers a magnificent view of Honolulu and Waikiki.
