Salt Lake City is the capital of State of Utah. The city is the heart of a metropolitan area of more than a million people spread through the Salt Lake Valley. For more than a hundred years, people from Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Montana, and Colorado have traveled to Salt Lake City to shop, work, worship, and make transport connections.

The city is the world headquarters of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose annual spring and fall conferences draw thousands from all over the world and whose Temple Square is easily Utah’s top tourist attraction.

Salt Lake City is also the state’s cultural centre. Eleven major ski areas are located within a 90-mile drive of the airport, and the state’s two most popular professional sports teams play in the valley.
