San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre has been the heart and soul of the city’s thespian since its inception. Modeled on its 17^th century England antecedent, the Old Globe Theatre has been the pride and joy of San Diego since the 1935-36 expo. 
 

The centrepiece Old Globe Theatre, with an adaptable seating configuration for about 600, stages classic works and extravagant productions. Today, it is one of the country’s most prolific theatres, staging 14 shows per year (many of which make their way to Broadway) and drawing some 250,000 playgoers in the process. In-house customers, set builders and wigmakers create the lavish trappings seen on stage.
