Details / Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park has been described as the most colourful national park in the world. Depending on the season, the hour of the day, and the weather, the fantastic rock formations, or hoodoos, visible from Inspiration and Rainbow points turn vivid shades of white, orange, yellow, red, and purple. This amazing landscape was named for Ebenezer Bryce, pioneer cattleman and the first permanent settler in the area.
Though all of Utah’s five national parks experience four distinct seasons, the extremes are greater at Bryce Canyon because of its high elevation. Temperatures in winter dip well below freezing. The contrast of the red rock hoodoos and white snow adds a dimension to the landscape unavailable in the summer.
