Details / Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires – meaning good winds – lies on the South Atlantic coast along the Parana River estuary known as the Rio de la Plata. Its climate is generally pleasant with hot, humid summers, cool to cold winters, and comfortable spring and fall temperatures.
Buenos Aires dominates Argentina in every way. More than one-third of the country’s 37 million people live in the city and its suburbs. The city is the political, economic, social, and cultural centre of Argentina. It is also country’s major shipping, industrial, and commercial centres.
In Buenos Aires, the old and the new exist side by side. Historic European-style buildings and avenues mingle with modern high rise apartment buildings, shopping malls, and department stores. Glass skyscrapers cast their slender shadows on nineteenth century Victorian houses.
